This is my second Cortina, my previous one being another Mk5 but a 1.6L Estate. This new car was in much better condition haveing been lovingly looked after by the same owner for almost twenty years. It has spent much of it's life in a garrage away from the elements and I suspect it used to wear seat covers as despite the 104000 miles it has under it's belt the interior is imaculate. There isn't even any wear on the drivers seat bolsters!
Needless to say I was rather chuffed with my purchase, it's just a pity I didn't give it a good clean and treat the paint to some polish to seal it. Now it's covered in blisters!
