I worked on this aircraft as her regular mechanic for the last four years of her active life at A&AEE Boscombe Down before she retired from service and was flown to Bruntingthorpe where she resides today. I first worked on her as an apprentice and inherited her from my apprentice master who retired when I qualified. She still remains the best aircraft I have ever worked on and is thought of with much fondness. If anyone from work is reading this and is looking forward to taking the mikey out of me then go ahead, I don't care. I'm earning more than you anyway! :-)
